Sadly,this happens more than we like to know,unfortunately I went through something very similar in NJ in 2003,our child was barely 3 at the time and I was in a trade school 3 doors down that's why I thought it was gonna be a perfect place for him,on any breaks and lunch I was able to see him for a little bit. However, one day I had an unexpected break so I walked over and since they WEREN'T expecting me I see w/ my own eyes how they were handling all the children..I saw them shove my son in a chair at the table and when this person sat my son down she SLAMMED him in his seat and pushed him in so tightly to the table he couldn't breathe properly..so..being that I'm like a MAMA BEAR ( like most of us are) with her cubs,I whipped that door open,went in grabbed my baby and told her that she was VERY LUCKY their we're children around bc they were the ONLY THING KEEPING HER FROM A BEATING! Needless to say my son never went back and they were shut down within a couple months after that( apparently, once I started talking to the moms in my classes,more stories wrre coming out!) They did re-open like a yr.later but,it was under new management and that specific woman and a couple others were fired!..(I'd like to add here,my son only was there for about 2 weeks when I took him out and he was a very well behaved lil' guy and not that this has to do w/ that daycare,but he passes away at 17 and it always kills me to think of this shit bc it happened to the one son that I no longer have in my life and this pulls on so many heart strings) That was the ONE and only time ANY of our children were babysat by someone that wasn't a close friend or FAMILY!.. It's so sad but,u can't really trust ANYONE anymore!...Hopefully any children treated this way at that facility will not remember as they get older!
